The specific aims of the society are as follows:

To optimize the current standards in Turkish orthodontics
To organize scientific meetings and courses.
To encourage orthodontic research and to honor young researchers by awards
To play a positive part in improving general dentists and public’s orthodontic knowledge
• To improve the frequency for preventive applications.

The scientific publication of the society “Journal of TOS” is being published since 1988, 3 times a year with the ISSN number (ISSN 1200-3500).
