The specific aims of the society are as follows:

  • To optimize the current standards in Turkish orthodontics
  • To organize scientific meetings and courses.
  • To encourage orthodontic research and to honor young researchers by awards
  • To play a positive part in improving general dentists and public's orthodontic knowledge
  • To improve the frequency for preventive applications.

The scientific publication of the society "Journal of TOS" is being published since 1988, 3 times a year with the ISSN number (ISSN 1200-3500).


Turkish Journal of Orthodontics, the bilingual (Turkish & English) and free access scientific journal of the society publishes 3 issues each year and can be accessed here.
